Live Auditions - Summer 2012

To register for the Bolshoi Ballet Academy Summer Intensive 2012, you must first register online for a live audition or to submit an audition DVD (PLEASE NOTE: WE HAVE STOPPED ACCEPTING DVD/VIDEO AUDITIONS AS OF MARCH 29, 2012). Upon completion of online registration for auditions you will be asked to pay the non-refundable $35 fee. Please bring a labeled headshot photo when you arrive to any of the auditions or submit a DVD.
Audition Age: Please register to audition with the group that you would be in by the beginning of the summer intensive. If you are 14 years old but will turn 15 before the the Summer Intensive, please audition with the 15+ group.
Dress Code: There is no strict dress code for the auditions. Most female dancers will wear a black leotard and pink tights with hair pulled off the face. If you are on pointe, please bring your pointe shoes. Men generally wear black tights and a white T-shirt with black or white ballet shoes.

**Due to unforeseen circumstances, the Bolshoi Ballet Academy Summer Intensive Audition in Boca Raton, FL on Sunday, February 19th has been CANCELED. As an option, you may attend the audition on Sunday, February 26th in Orlando, FL at Orlando Ballet (1111 North Orange Avenue) instead. The audition times are listed above. Or, you may submit your DVD audition to the Bolshoi Ballet Academy Summer Intensive for review. Please see the instruction below. We apologize for any inconvenience and we look forward to see you soon.
DVD Auditions
PLEASE NOTE: WE HAVE STOPPED ACCEPTING DVD/VIDEO AUDITIONS AS OF MARCH 29, 2012. WE HOPE TO SEE YOU AGAIN NEXT YEAR!
DVD audition should be no more than 10 minutes and should reflect the dancer's strengths. Applicants should show an example of their typical level of training including exercises at the barre, center work, jumps, and pointe work, while younger dancers should show stretching and flexibility. DVDs must reflect the dancer's current training, made within 3 months of application submission. Please submit to the address below after registering online:

Notification
All who audition will be notified of the results of their audition within two weeks of the live audition date (including weekends) or within two weeks of receiving the DVD.
